Certificate of Current Professional Status

The 2005 Edinburgh Agreement set out provisions for the implementation of a European template for a Certificate of Current Professional Status (CCPS) by professional healthcare regulators.

The European template contributes to increased consistency of information exchange between regulatory authorities.

The Certificate provides a range of information about the current status of a healthcare professional who is seeking registration with a regulator in another country.

The template was set out in Agreement 1 of the Edinburgh Agreement.
